What is water? Water is a chemical compound. Each molecule of water, H 2 O, consists of two atoms of hydrogen bonded to one atom of oxygen . Importance of water Water is extremely vital . It helps the body keep a normal temperature, get rid of waste, carries nutrients, oxygen and etc through out the body, protects tissues, and organs from shock and damage according to centers for diseases control and prevention.
